As part of the Spineless Marvels collection at the San Diego Zoo, Variance Design created several ant exhibits including our most elaborate leaf cutter display to date. Tight tolerances are required when containing some of the most escape-prone insects around. The elaborate network of interconnected, subterranean chambers are viewed through custom, thermoformed viewing ports showcasing these complex miniature cities.
